Happy Holidays! I hope you're all enjoying time with family and friends. I'm just about ready for Christmas here. I still have some wrapping to do but did a lot yesterday. I also will be taking my dad shopping for the kids tomorrow. He arrives today to spend the week with us and he always waits until he's in town to buy his gifts for them. It's actually fun to get out there in the hustle and bustle of the days before Christmas. We're expecting a fun week with Christmas on Friday and The Force Awakens on Saturday as the highlights. [Please no spoilers in the comments!!!] I hope you all enjoy your week as well.
Now on to my weekly update. I don't have an update on blogging since I didn't do any last week. However, I did create the snowman above based on one I saw posted by Writerspace. I think he came out very cute!
I am now reading The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee. I am supposed to review this one over the holidays so you can be sure I will actually publish a review in the near future! Then I need to go back and write the other ten reviews I have outstanding from 2015!!
M, age 8, is still reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. I think she's about halfway through at this point. It's a long book!! I figure this will take her most of the way through winter break, and then she'll move on to #6.
I'm linking up with Book Date for It's Monday! What Are You Reading? as well as Unleashing Readers and Teach Mentor Texts for the children's and YA version of this weekly gathering. What are you reading? Please share in the comments!
Ugh, it's so disappointing when a series that pulls you in at the beginning just seems to fizzle out by the end! Have a merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable display of your books.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your week, and Merry Christmas!!
