Christmas Spirit Readathon and Reading Challenge

I have been participating in a readathon this week, even though I didn't get around to posting about it. My blogging has been pretty ridiculous lately! Sorry about that. The Christmas Spirit Readathon was hosted by Michelle at Seasons of Reading and it's always a fun readathon to join. I read one Christmas book and one book that happened to include a few scenes during Christmas. I'm also planning to finish off the readathon with a few Christmas picture books this evening.

The one Christmas book I read was A War of Gifts by Orson Scott Card. It's a novella related to his Ender Games series. The other book I read this week was Faithful Place by Tana Francis. It's book three of a series of which I've only read one other book, which actually comes later in the series. But I find that her books stand alone quite well.

My daughter read the Elf on the Shelf book to the whole family earlier this evening, and we plan to read more Christmas books tonight. So I'll do my final wrap up tomorrow.

  1. I totally understand - tough to find time for blogging at this time of year!

I hadn't heard of the Orson Scott Card book before - sounds good! We loved the whole Ender's Game series.

We also love the Tana French series. I just gave my husband book #3 or 4. I;ve only read the first one so far but want to read the rest!

Hope you are enjoying your books and the holiday season!
