Welcome to my weekly series: Book Club Picks.
This week, I decided to turn the tables and ask my readers on Facebook and Twitter for their book club recommendations. I'm always looking for new ideas that I can present to my club when it's my turn to host. I posed this challenge on both social media outlets: NAME ONE BOOK THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND TO BOOK CLUBS. Some of the responses were books I've already read with my book club, but there are a few new ones here that I'm excited to share.
My book club just read The Girl on the Train in July and most of the group liked it. It definitely has some interesting characters and situations to discuss!
We have not read this one, so I'm adding it to my list! Thanks for sharing your review of I Am China.
Great recommendations! My book club has actually read both of those books and I'd definitely recommend them. Here are the links to reviews by The Book Wheel Blog:
The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry
Orphans of Race Point
I have not read Fangirl yet. Yes, I know I need to read it! Now it is closer to the top of my list.
Check out the reviews shared on Facebook:
The Ones We Trust reviewed by Mom's Small Victories
Unbecoming reviewed by Doing Dewey
Heavy Weather reviewed by Good Girl Gone Redneck
The Blue Bottle Club reviewed by Sandra's Ark
Please let me know if you have suggestions for topics to cover, or if you would like to write a guest post for my Book Club Picks series. I'd love to hear about your book club or your favorite books for discussion!
Here are the responses from Twitter!
@MyBookRetreat The Girl on the Train. Though every book club is probably scheduling this one! :)

Oooh...lots of great ideas here! So many amazing books and so little time! I will keep these in mind next time it's my turn to suggest books to one of my book groups!
