I decided to join up with Saturday Snapshot, which is hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads. It's been cold enough here for ice to form on the pond behind our house. I hate the cold weather but the ice is pretty.
I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Mundie Moms are hosting the Freedom to Read Giveaway Hop in honor of Independence Day in the United States, and I've decided to participate. To stick with the theme of Independence Day, I'm doing what I did last year for this hop: I'm giving away a book of your choice that is written by an author from the United States. It can be any genre as long as the author is from the United States. You choose the book (up to $15), and I'll order it and have it mailed to you from Book Depository . The contest ends on Thursday, July 5th at midnight Eastern Time. The winner will be notified by e-mail. If they do not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be drawn. Happy 4th of July! I hope you have a safe and fun holiday! Enter here: a Rafflecopter giveaway Now check out all of the other giveaways you can enter at the links below!
Great photos! I love ponds and streams...and even rivers and lakes. They make such great shots. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr. It sure looks cold, but it is beautiful. Sometimes our weather will get cold enough for water to freeze in puddles, but I haven't seen a frozen pond here. The weather just doesn't stay that cold long enough in the Pacific Northwest, and we usually get rain that melts any ice or snow. I'm not complaining!

I had to check on your About you page to check where you are. The top picture looked a bit like Germany, which I think is because of the style of the houses.
ReplyDeleteThe ice is pretty--and it is so much nicer on the pond than on the road!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are all gorgeous, but I like the second one down the best. Pretty ground colours!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a pond at the back of your house.
