It seems that blogging has dropped to the bottom of my list for the past year, and was pretty low for the year or two prior to that. I love to read, and am continuing to do so, but as my regular readers know I haven't been around much. My last blog post was almost a year ago!!
There are many things that have taken me away from blogging. Work has been much more challenging and interesting these past few years, but that means I really don't want to get back on the computer when I get home at night - or on the weekends.
Family life has been more busy with kids having multiple activities in the evenings, leaving little time to just hang out and write about the books that I read.
I will admit to a bit of a Facebook addiction, which means way too much time spent scrolling through my newsfeed instead of doing something more productive. This is one of the things I'm working on and hoping that this will free up some time for getting back to the blog.
Overall, life is good. Work is …
That is a very eclectic mix of books. Love the reading picture.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes it is! The pet books are because we're actually considering a new pet and doing some research. The others were just random choices while browsing at the library. :-)
DeleteThe reading picture is great, and it's wonderful to see people taking their children to the library and encouraging them to read - earlier this week I was shocked to overhear a woman telling her child she wasn't wasting money on a book!!! My Snapshot is very late due to computer problems http://chriscross53.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/mushroomy-things.html
ReplyDeleteI am the opposite, going a bit overboard with the books for the kids. But I love reading so much that I want them to love it too.
DeleteI love finding new books at the library- glad your kids do too. Great picture of your son.
ReplyDeleteYou guys considering a rodent pet? I highly recommend hamsters. We've had two and LOVED them both. It takes a while to get them used to you at first, but then they are great and love to be held. Also, they are very clean - only go to the bathroom in one corner of their cage and rarely when out (as opposed to guinea pigs who I've heard poop everywhere!)
ReplyDeleteGood luck and enjoy the books!
