Week in Review

       aaa1

Good morning. It's once again been a couple weeks since I posted, but I've gotten quite a lot of reviewing and reading done. I also passed my 4 year blogiversary on October 20th. I can't believe I let it pass without any fanfare!! Thank you so much to those of you who have been following my blog for the past 4 years, and to those who are newer followers!

What I've Reviewed
I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai
My Yellow Umbrella by Chris Robertson
Upir and the Monster Gang by Sharron and Raymond Thornton

What I'm Reading
Since my last update, I finished reading Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese, as well as the three books listed above. I also read Into the Crossfire by Cindy McDonald. I'll have that review up next week for the book tour.

I'm now reading an astrology book called What the Hell is Going on in My Life? by Lawrence Schwimmer.

Up Next for Me
I have two more review books to get through, so I'll probably read one of these next: The Tulip Eaters by Antoinette van Heugten or Who Asked You? by Terry McMillan. I also have my November book club book to read: The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

What C is Reading
C finished The House of Hades by Rick Riordan pretty fast. Then he read Star Wars Jedi Academy by Jeffrey Brown. Now he's reading Greetings from Nowhere by Barbara O'Connor. That one is for the Battle of the Books he's doing at school.

What M is Reading
M finished Super Burp! George Brown, Class Clown, Book 1 by Nancy Krulik, and then she read E-mergency! by Tom Lichtenheld, which she got from the Scholastic Book Fair. Now she is reading Miss Daisy is Crazy by Dan Gutman.

What are you reading this week? It's Monday! is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, so hop over there if you'd like to see what others are reading too. You can also check out the younger version of It's Monday!

  1. Glad to see your post - I missed you yesterday!

Did you end up liking Cutting for Stone? I remember you were having a little trouble with the length, but I hope you found it worth it! I bet it was a good one for a book discussion - I read it on my own.

Love that your son is doing the battle of the books at school! Looks like he's being exposed to some books that are different than what he'd normally read on his own.

Enjoy your books this week -

    1. Funny! I have a feeling I'll be losing books in that way when my son gets a bit older (although I doubt he'd be taking The Husband's Secret!!)

    1. Thank you! My son read Greetings from Nowhere in just two days, so I'm thinking it might be worth checking out! I agree, the book cover is quite interesting.
