Good evening. I hope you've had a great week. I'd love to link to some of my blog posts from last week, but I've been so wrapped up in reading the Chaos Walking series that I haven't taken a moment to write blog posts! Sorry! On an unrelated note, today was the first day of school for my kids. Woohoo!! They both had a great day and I'm really excited for both of them. C is in 4th grade now and M is in 1st. They're both reading more again, so I'll let you know what they're reading down below.
I just finished The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness tonight. So I haven't started anything else yet.
Up Next for Me
I am torn as to what to read next. Part of me wants to read the next in the Chaos Walking series. Part of me wants to read my next book club selection, Silver Linings Play Book by Matthew Quick. I also have a book I'm supposed to review in early September, but I haven't received it yet, so I may be pushing that one out a bit. I have a trip planned next weekend, so I'll have lots of time to read.
C finished The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppet by Tom Angleberger, and his is now reading the fifth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. He's really enjoying it.
M is reading Lucky Stars #1: Wish Upon a Star by Phoebe Bright. This is a cute story about a 7-year-old girl who finds out on her birthday that she can make wishes come true.
What are you reading this week? It's Monday! is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, so hop over there if you'd like to see what others are reading too.
Lucky Stars looks cute, I'll have to see if my kids are interested in that one.
ReplyDeleteIt is really cute and she was excited that the first book comes with a charm bracelet. The other books come with charms to add to the bracelet.
DeleteI am down to the last pages of The Ask and the Answer!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The Silver Linings Playbook movie and would love to read the book - hope you enjoy it.
