I'm a little late this week, so I'll say good afternoon, instead of good morning. I hope you enjoyed your long weekend, for those of you in the U.S. We had a nice, relaxing weekend since we didn't have anyone visiting us from out of town, and we didn't have to travel anywhere ourselves.
Last week, I wrote a review of When No One Is Watching by Joseph Hayes. I also read and reviewed a wonderful book that I recommend to adults and children: The Christmas Gift by R. William Bennett.
With the holiday weekend, I completely forgot about the children's book meme I usually do on Saturdays! Whoops!

I started reading A Note from an Old Acquaintance

This week, in addition to finishing up the two books above, I'm going to read The Active, Creative Child
What are you reading this week? This meme is being hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, so hop over there if you'd like to see what others are reading too.
I read your review of The Christmas Gift and really want to get this book. Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHoodoo Sea sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe I should read The Creative, Active Child, too - I happen to have one of those!
Glad you enjoyed a relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.

The Active Creative Child sounds interesting. I look forward to your review. Not much on my plate this week as I'm writing papers. Here's what I'm reading this week.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for your review on the Active, Creative Child. That sounds like a really good read. Right now I am loving a new children's book out called, Jazz Fly 2 by Matthew Gollub, which is a rain forest adventure featuring a host of unique fauna including a sloth, spider monkey, anteater and jaguar. The book comes with a Latin jazz cd performed by the author and the best part is that I am reading Spanish phrases to my four year-old. This is one of the best books I have picked up this year for my child.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds like a great holiday read.
